Because of this, hotel prices become higher, and the chances of getting discounts are very low. That is why I always prefer to travel during the off-season.Today, I am talking about Kerala. Off-season in Kerala is from April to August. During the monsoon season, the real beauty of Kerala comes alive.You can spend 5–6 days away from your busy work and feel completely relaxed, all within a budget of only ₹12,000–₹15,000.

First, we will go to Munnar.

1. Munnar

1. Here, you will find many small tea shops, and the tea you drink early in the morning will make your day refreshing.The tea estates are also visible from here, and they are surrounded by beautiful clouds.

1.2 – Kochi to MunnarThe KSRTC bus is the safest and best transport option to travel from Kochi to Munnar. The bus fare is between ₹190 and ₹250.

1.3 – Scooter RideYou can rent a scooter for around ₹500 and explore the mountains at your own pace. Riding a scooter through the hills gives you an amazing experience and beautiful vibes.

1.4 – Eravikulam National ParkThe ticket price for Eravikulam National Park is ₹200 per person. This park is located in the Rajamalai Hills. From here, you can enjoy beautiful views of lush green grasslands in every direction. The roads are often covered with clouds, making the journey even more beautiful.The main attraction is that the roads are surrounded by clouds, and this park is also home to the Nilgiri Tahr.

Day 3 – Munnar to Alleppey

Alleppey is also known as the "Venice of the East." Here, you can enjoy the beautiful combination of peaceful backwaters and rows of coconut trees.

2.3 – Monsoon Beauty
During the monsoon season, the raindrops and the lush greenery all around create a beautiful and aesthetic view. There are no noisy crowds here, and the relaxation you experience is truly amazing.

2.4 – Alleppey Backwaters & Houseboat Experience
One of the best experiences in Kerala is spending a night on a houseboat in the Alleppey backwaters. During the peak season, the cost is around ₹15,000 per night, but in the off-season, you can get the same experience for around ₹6,000–₹8,000.

2.5 – Shikara Boat RideFor around ₹400–₹500, you can enjoy a Shikara boat ride and experience the beautiful backwaters.

The next day, we will travel from Alleppey to Varkala Beach.

Day 4 – Varkala Beach

3.1 From Alleppey, you can reach Varkala Sivagiri in a short time.

3.2 – VarkalaVarkala offers one of the most unique and beautiful views in India because it is famous for its cliff beach.

3.2.1Along the seashore, you will see large red cliffs overlooking the Arabian Sea. The view is so beautiful that it feels like a place straight out of your imagination, almost like an AI-generated creation.

3.2.2There is a long walkway on top of the cliffs, lined with beautiful cafés, seafood restaurants, and handicraft shops.

3.2.3The sunset view here is truly mesmerizing. In the evening, the lights on the cliffs create a magical atmosphere, and live music makes the place feel like a mini Goa.

3.2.4And do you know, guys? All these experiences are completely free of cost.

3.3 – Papanasam Beach

3.3.1It is believed that taking a bath at Papanasam Beach washes away all your sins.

3.4 – Black Sand Beach3.4.1Near the North Cliff, there is a small and peaceful beach where the sand is slightly black in colour, and it is usually less crowded.

3.5 – Jatayu Earth's Center

3.5.1A short distance from here, you can visit the world's largest bird sculpture, known as the Jatayu Sculpture.At night, you can stay at a homestay in Varkala Beach. The rent ranges from ₹1,000 to ₹3,500 per night.

The next day, we will travel from Varkala to Fort Kochi.

The train fare is around ₹150–₹200, while a 3AC train ticket costs between ₹400 and ₹750. If you prefer, you can also travel by cab, but the cost will depend on your budget.

Day 5 – Fort Kochi

Fort Kochi is one of the most beautiful places in Kerala, known for its art, cafés, and historical charm. When you visit this place, you will feel as if you are in a foreign country. If you, like me, love handicrafts, you will definitely enjoy exploring this place.

4.1 – Cycling

4.1.1Cycling through the old streets of Kochi is a wonderful experience. The roads are lined with European-style architecture and colourful yellow, pink, and blue colonial bungalows, making the surroundings look beautiful and unique.

4.1.2 – Kashi Art CaféKashi Art Café is not just a café; it is also an art gallery. The strong coffee and signature cakes here are highly popular and taste amazing.

4.2 – St. Francis ChurchSt. Francis Church is the first European church in India.

4.3 – Kochi-Muziris BiennaleThe Kochi-Muziris Biennale is an international art exhibition held every two years. Artists from all over the world come here to showcase their artwork.
